Hi there,

More good news for getting outdoors!

Following on from the delivery of the Return to Play guide just over a week ago, the Queensland Government has taken more steps to ease restrictions for Queenslanders.

The Sport and Recreation COVID SAFE Restart Plan will help organisations to kick back into operation after the all clear is given. For those organisations needing a financial boost there are the Small Business Adaption Grants.

Industry COVID SAFE Plans

Industry COVID SAFE Plans will seek approval for flexibility regarding the restrictions including, where appropriate, allowing more participants than specified in the roadmap. If you are an outdoor education or activity provider and want to be involved in the development of an industry COVID SAFE Plan for your sector please click the appropriate link below to register for an online development session:

The Outdoor Council of Australia has developed two useful resources designed to help reboot outdoor activities across the country.

  • The Framework for Rebooting Outdoor Activities in a COVID-19 Environment is intended to guide resumption in a COVID-19 environment of activities covered by an Australian Adventure Activity Standard and in addition, contains surfing, sailing, orienteering, and snow activities.
  • The COVID-19 Management Plan Template for Group Based Outdoor Activities has been produced to assist organisations in planning for resumption of group activities in a safe and considered way. This template is intended to be used as a general guide, and assist organisations to cover the appropriate issues in their Safety/Risk Management Plans
