Hi supporter,

Today is World Cancer Day, a global initiative to raise awareness, improve education and be a catalyst for action.

We are proud to be part of a community working towards a cancer-free world, and are grateful for your support in the fight against cancer.

Below is a snapshot of three everyday Australians who have accessed our support services. We would not be able to help people like Maya, Jake and Michelle without you. Thank you for your ongoing generosity.

Kind regards,

Eric Wright
Managing Director

Maya's Story

Maya was diagnosed with cancer when she was three years old. While she received life-saving treatment, she took part in our education support program, enabling her to keep up with her schooling during a crucial time in her education.

“There was a kinder teacher funded by your program, and Maya was getting continuous support from Sonya every day, five days a week...It was just the best support she could have.
- Maya's mum Sheila

Michelle's Story

Michelle, her husband Carl and their two daughters called one of our accommodation centres home for eight months while Michelle received treatment for blood cancer.

“I got to see my family every day, even when I was in the hospital. That was just amazing for my mental health.”

Jake's Story

After being diagnosed with cancer at 24, Jake and his family had to relocate so he could access life-saving treatment. Thankfully, they were all able to stay at one of our accommodation centres together.

"Support from people like you was the reason we had somewhere to call home while I went through treatment."
