Who ever said that "knowledge is power" must have worked in the construction industry. It's one of the golden rules of owner building. The more you know about all aspects of your build the better your new home will be.

You need to have a good working relationship with all your tradies to ensure your vision comes to fruition with their help, not with their domination.

Have you ever worked with a tradie and tried to get your point of view across, and have felt totally out of your depth?  Or have thought "they're the experts they know best" but not feeling totally happy about your decision? As an owner builder do not ignore your instincts.
