![]() Update for Residents15th June to 29th July![]() Housebuilding – Phase 1We now have over 100 homes under construction. We have commenced the first phase of scaffolding removal to a number of plots and we are at roof construction stage on our first block of apartments. We are looking forward to welcoming the first new families to Buckler's Park in the summer. Nine Mile Ride / Old Wokingham Road RoundaboutWe are currently awaiting delivery of the streetlights for the roundabout, which have been delayed to accommodate a recent specification change from the local authority. We remain on target to complete the streetlight installation and final tarmac works to footpaths, at the end of June. Cycleway – Old Wokingham Road to Crowthorne RoundaboutThe final surfacing to the roundabout will be laid overnight on the 25th, 26th & 27th June. Further to discussions with our contractors the roundabout will now be closed for three nights between 8:30pm & 5.30am to ensure the safety of our workforce. The construction of the cycleway is ongoing and remains on target to be completed by the end of August. Traffic lights will be
required during the working hours. Development Access C – north of Hatch RideFinal surfacing remains on target for the last week of June. There will be some final connections to complete lit signage in early July. Toucan Crossing – Access B – Hatch RideWe anticipate final commissioning and handover to the local authority taking place before the end of June. On site infrastructureThe site infrastructure remains on target to be completed in August with our contractors focusing on final areas of regrading and drainage. SANGThe SANG is approaching the first milestone in its completion and final inspection of the first phase will begin in June with the local authority. Community CentreProgress on the design is well underway, working with all stakeholders to ensure the facility meets the needs of the 106 Agreement and future users. Our next step will be to submit a formal pre-application to Bracknell Forest Council in the coming weeks with a target date for planning submission mid-Summer 2018. SchoolWe are currently working closely with the local authority and targeting a planning application submission later in the Autumn of 2018. We are keen to secure the consent to ensure the maximum time is given to agree the finer details with the Education Authority prior to commencement. ![]() Social ValueMembers of our team have been working closely with local groups to add value back to the community. A number of the Legal & General Homes team, including staff and contractors, attended the annual Edgebarrow School painting event on the 9th June to help redecorate areas of the school. You can find out more about this here. We are currently working closely with Social Value Portal on a number other initiatives with the aim of making a positive difference to the community. Safety & SecurityOur site is patrolled by security including support from a canine team. We would however like to take this opportunity to remind residents that whilst all reasonable precautions are taken, building sites can seem exciting to children but they can be dangerous places As ever, we would, therefore, ask parents to ensure their children are made aware of the dangers and are instructed not to enter site at any time, unless doing so under the full supervision of our site staff and wearing full personal protection equipment.
