Things are wrapping up on the main alignment at Rangiriri – with all lanes open and traffic at 100km/h since Easter.
The main outstanding work to be completed by the contractor Fletcher Construction is the reshaping of Te Wharepu Road, along with parking and access to the historic Rangiriri Paa.
Work continues on the symbolic reinterpretation of the paa and later this year there will be a major community event to mark completion.
