Food Sustainability: interdisciplinary perspectives

This lunchtime seminar from the Univerity of Portsmouth will showcase the studies of three PhD studies in the new field of sustainability transitions and its intersections with agri-food systems.
Ranging from experimental biological research with tomato plants and recycled shellfish to social sciences perspectives on circular economy and fair trade, this seminar offers interdisciplinary insights into the broad topic of food sustainability. TO BOOK

London Climate Action Week
London Climate Action Week is an annual event bringing together world-leading climate expertise to help solve the climate emergency. LCAW was established to create space for London’s climate professionals and communities to come together and find solutions to climate change. Now in its third year, LCAW is the largest independent climate gathering in Europe. The Eco Fund from DPD
Ongoing application process
Applications are being accepted by DPD's Echo Fund to enable the delivery of green projects and environmental initiatives by local organisations. Grants in the form of a donation of up to £2,000 are available.
Each application must be accompanied by a quote(s) for the goods or services for which the donation is going to be used. Applications may be made at any time and will be reviewed on a monthly basis. MORE DETAILS

MCS Charitable Foundation

Deadline
MCS Charitable Foundation is open to funding a range of projects that advance our mission to accelerate the adoption of renewable energy and low carbon technologies. Applications that have matched funding will be looked upon favourably.
Grants will usually be for £5,000 to £50,000. In exceptional cases grants will be considered for higher amounts up to £100,000. MORE DETAILS

Waste Prevention Community Fund

Deadline
North London Waste Authority has established a Waste Prevention Community Fund to provide NFP community based organisations with access to funding to develop new approaches to tackling waste prevention, and also to extend the reach and impact of waste prevention activity in north London. Up to 100% funding of the project cost available. The funding is available for projects up to £15,000 and the total amount available for 2021-22 is £60,000.
The fund opens on the 6 April and closes at 12noon 7 May 2021. MORE DETAILS
