PMC Evergreens: Ministry in Action

Pioneer Memorial Church is the home of the Evergreens Pathfinder Club, the oldest Pathfinder club in the state of Michigan. Founded in 1952, the Evergreens have been meeting faithfully since then to recite and, more importantly, put into practice the Pathfinder Pledge and Law. Since 1962, the Pathfinders have been meeting in the dedicated Pathfinder Building on the campus of Andrews University, but they still do a great ministry under the roof here in Pioneer Memorial Church, as well. Backpacks for Berrien Collection

Each month one of the various denominational churches in Berrien Springs collects food to be distributed on Fridays by Backpacks for Berrien to Berrien Springs public school students who otherwise may not have much to eat over the weekend. January and February are PMC's months. The food must be packaged in individual serving sizes. No cans or bottles. By the types of food we select to donate, we can even make a health statement. Here are the healthful items on the Backpacks’ food list: fruit cups, pasta, rice, beans, nuts, protein bars. Food can be brought to the church and placed in the collection box in the lobby.

PMC Business Session

You are invited to a soup and sandwich supper Monday evening 6:00 PM in the Commons. Pioneer’s winter business meeting will convene immediately following. Come discuss with church leaders the 2019 church budget, Renovate: Heart and House building plans and progress, and other matters of church life. All Pioneer members are invited and welcome to participate.
