St John's School Newsletter Term 2 Week 7 St John's is a Child Safe School where all children are respected and are protected from harm. Principal's Message Dear Families, Here we go again with lockdown, let’s hope this one doesn’t last too long. Unfortunately, we don’t find out about what is going to happen until after the press conferences each day and then about an hour or so later we receive information from the Catholic Education Office. So it is a good idea to follow the news updates, just like we are, to see what our future holds. As soon as we know any information we will let you know. Remote Learning - Thank you to all families who have sent emails of support. We appreciate your kindness, just like you, our staff find the remote learning periods difficult too but the support from our beautiful school community keeps us going. Teachers have made packs for students from Foundation to Year 4, which will need to be collected if you haven’t already done so. Canberra Camp - Last week the Year 5 and 6 students went to Canberra on camp for 4 days. They visited Questacon, the War Memorial, the Australian Mint, the Australian Electoral Commission, Parliament House, Mount Ainslie, the National Arboretum, saw the Embassies and many more activities. In the evenings, we went 10 pin bowling and had private screening of ‘Peter Rabbit 2’. Thank you to Mrs Frewen, Miss King, Mr McKernan, Brenton Noye and Nic Asquith for attending the camp and also to all the staff who remained at school and kept school going.
