CHANGES TO FEI EQUINE PROHIBITED SUBSTANCES LIST

The FEI Bureau has approved changes to the FEI Equine Prohibited Substances List brought forward by the FEI List Expert Group to come into effect on 1 January 2018. These changes are published on inside.fei.org in order to start the process of familiarisation.

The Department of Immigration is scrutinizing the planned activities of people arriving in Australia on a visitor visa or Electronic Travel Authority. There have been recent cases of this impacting planned equestrian events, with participants being denied entry to Australia. EOI FOR STEWARDS COURSE

Expressions of interest (EOI) are now being sought for an EA Stewards course with FEI Steward Chris Wallis on 3 November at Capel Pony Club. New candidates and current stewards are welcome. There will also be an opportunity to be mentored at Swan River CIC competition on the 4 & 5 November. BAR'S OPEN!

The State Equestrian Centre bar will be open from 3.30pm to 6.30pm tomorrow night (Friday 29 Sept) for spectators, supporters and competitors of the 2017 Penny Hill Park Stud Dressage Rising Star Final.

This invitational competition is for horses and ponies competing in their first year of EA Competitive Dressage and will be guest judged by FEI 5* Dressage Judge Susie Hoevenaars (VIC).

Come down, have a drink and watch WA's up-and-coming horses and ponies vying for the title of Penny Hill Park Rising Star. Let's show our support for these talented combinations who have done so well in their first year of official Competitive dressage.

The Equestrian Australia Dressage Judges Committee (EADJC) will have three positions up for nomination as per the process outlined in the EA Committee Bylaws. The vacancies are for 3-year terms from 1/1/18 to 31/12/20. Applicants must have current EA membership and be a National A level judge and be an active Judge Educator. WA TEAM ON FIRE AT AUS INTERSCHOOL CHAMPIONSHIPS

The 2017 Marcus Oldham Australian Interschool Equestrian Championships are being held this week, with 350 horses and 320 riders from all over the nation converging at the Toowoomba Showground for four days of competition.

Friday marks the final day of the event and WA Team Manager, Sharon Welsh, says that the team has been in high spirits, despite the warm Queensland weather causing issues with some of the venue's riding surfaces. The Team have been lucky enough to secure some high-quality pool horses and obtained some fantastic results in the first three days.
