We acknowledge the uncertainty that exists for our sector and we will continue to strive in strengthening our marketing and developmental plans to assist Tipperary's tourism providers now and in the future. Tipperary Recovery Taskforce Training Needs Review and Opportunities Tipperary Destination Recovery Taskforce recently undertook a training needs survey of the tourism sector in the county. The findings of this survey have been shared with our training partners and we are working together to ensure the training needs identified are met. Tipperary Local Enterprise Office, Tipperary ETB and County Tipperary Skillnet have developed a suite of high-quality training plans for the first and second quarter of 2021. The courses available reflect the needs identified in the training needs survey covering topics like Instagram and Facebook from beginners to advanced, Data Protection and Search Engine Optimisation to Customer Service and Tourism Visitor Care at QQI level. There is a training programme to suit every level and skillset, Please note these training programmes can book up very quickly so therefore it is best to book in advance directly from the training provider. The Festival and Events Scheme 2021 is now open for applications. Through this scheme Tipperary County Council aims to promote and support local festivals throughout the County that are not solely commercially focused, to support and assist those festival/events that have tourism, cultural, artistic, heritage, sporting or community focus and which contribute significantly to the quality of life in Tipperary. ITB NOW Virtual B2B Fair 9th - 12th March 2021 -The world's largest travel trade fair offering a virtual platform to meet German Trade and to secure business for 2021 and beyond. In light of COVID 19, and the challenges facing the industry, Fáilte Ireland & Tourism Ireland have committed to covering 100% of registration fees for respective in-Ireland and in-market sales platforms this year. Therefore, there will be no charge for this platform. Closing date to express your interest is Thursday, 14th January 2021. You must have access to Fáilte Ireland Trade Portal to express interest in attending the ITB NOW Virtual B2B Fair on the 9th - 12th March 2021. Northern Europe (BeNe and Nordics)11th -12th February 2021 - Northern European virtual B2B workshop for Industry, taking part in the event this is an excellent opportunity for Irish Industry partners to promote their product to BeNe and Nordics trade. This is a 2 full day virtual workshop event on 11th and 12th February 2021 where Irish industry can meet up for 15-minute meetings with BeNe and Nordics trade.
