This forum and workshop is COMPULSORY for all La Noir Saddleworld High Performance Athletes. With presenters including Adrian Schonfeld (Sports Psychologist), Kristy Holmes (Strength and Fitness Trainer) and David Bryant (Sports Nutritionist), athletes will gain valuable knowledge that will help them achieve their riding goals. Coaches of High Performance Athletes are also welcome to attend.

EWA La Noir Saddleworld High Performance is excited to present a clinic with Danish Olympian Lone Jorgensen. Lone is a Dual Olympian and elite dressage coach and regularly works with high performance riders to success. Lone will also be presenting a Master Class open to all dressage enthusiasts at 7:00pm Wednesday 11 August at the State Equestrian Centre. EWA would like to thank Anna Latto Equestrian for her contribution in bringing Lone to Western Australia for this clinic.

VALLEY EQUINE VETERINARY CENTRE

The WA Eventing Committee would like to thank Warwick Vale and the team at Valley Equine Veterinary Centre for their continued support of our state's eventing community.

Valley Equine Veterinary Centre provides $2500 each year to Eventing WA, plus veterinary attendance at one WA FEI CIC/CCI event in an FEI Veterinary Delegate Capacity, and two annual veterinary lectures to WA Eventing Squad Members.

They also sponsor the FEI Young Eventing Rider of the Year Award, which aims to foster the young eventing rider into FEI competitions.

WA EVENTING CALENDAR CHANGES

Following significant rider consultation, the following 2017 WA Eventing Calendar date changes are now confirmed:

  • October 14/15: Murray CNC (EvA65-CNC**, possibly CNC***)
  • October 21/22: Brigadoon CNC (EvA65-CNC*, possibly CNC*1/2 with ** dressage and SJ)
  • November 4/5: Swan River CIC (EvA65-CIC***, possibly running a 45cm class)

The Organising Committee for Swan River would like to thank all the riders who participated in the survey and confirm that the November date was the preferred option for the majority of riders.

INTERSCHOOL SERIES LEADERBOARD

A reminder to all school-age riders that the 2017 Saddles Plus Interschool Junior/Youth Series is still underway! Leaderboard winners will be recognised at the EWA Annual Awards Night with a trophy and prizes. Series results will also be used to help selectors determine which riders will be invited for the 2018 Rising Stars Program and WA State Team. MORE

Under the guidance of VWA Chair Jane Beaverstock, you will learn all the ins and outs of vaulting competitions. No experience is necessary and everyone is welcome.
