ALUMNI EVENTS![]() A reception to celebrate the Launch of The President's Circle was held at the President's Lodge on 7 November. 115 people were invited to join, who together have donated £185K in the last 12 months. The President's Circle is a group of people whose giving has a transformational effect — supporting students, carrying out necessary refurbishments, improving the gardens, buying books for the library and essentials for sport, supporting lectures, arts, music and the Research Event. ![]() The Commemoration of Benefactors' Dinner took place after the reception. The President took the opportunity to thank the College's major donors and supporters. Last year almost £1M was raised through philanthropic gifts, of which £576K was awarded to 163 students in scholarships, bursaries and hardship funds. Student support is one of three themes that the College is developing, along with ensuring our estate is fit for purpose and the establishment of Hubs of Academic Excellence. You can see photos from the evening on Flickr. The annual festive alumni get-together in Cambridge was a merry affair with a speech from President Jane Clarke.
