UAFP Opposes Proposed Relaxed Standards for Utah Dept. Of Health Leadership
UAFP issued a statement last week strongly opposing the proposed legislation SB6006 which altered the current job requirements of Director of the Utah Department of Health. organizations,
Despite concerns raised by healthcare the Utah Legislature voted Thursday to ease the public health credentials required for the state’s Health Department head, clearing the path for the governor to institute a new leader whose background did not fit the previous requirements. Mark Greenwood, MD for UMA President-Elect
At this year’s annual Utah Medical Association (UMA) House of Delegates, members of UMA will have the opportunity to vote for new officers including president-elect. UAFP is proud to support the candidacy of Dr. Mark Greenwood. UMA has been a powerful voice at Utah’s capitol and throughout the state for decades, and it would be a great benefit for the practice of family medicine and for patients to have a family medicine physician serve as president of UMA. If you are attending UMA’s House of Delegates this year, we encourage you to vote for Dr. Greenwood as president-elect. Read about Dr. Greenwood
