Woodville Town Hall provided the perfect backdrop for the Pitching in Conversation, Public Speaking and Training Workshop held by Switch Start Scale.
The City of Charles Sturt and the City of Port Adelaide Enfield announced a local government owned Material Recovery Facility (MRF) to process kerbside recyclables. This will provide partnership opportunities for local businesses which in turn promotes the circular economy.
We also take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who helped or contributed to the City of Charles Sturt's Longest Table Fundraising event which raised over $5,000 in valuable funds for much needed cancer research.
Creating a Local Marketplace - Innovation in Health and Wellbeing Our keynote speaker and neuroscientist, Dr Fiona Kerr stressed the importance of human connection and respectful empathy in health and ageing. Whilst Dr Andrew Kellie guided us through 'The Future of Primary Care - thinking globally, acting locally'.
After a short break and an opportunity to view exemplars, disruptor Melanie Tran challenged us to consider 'how barriers can become a force for innovation' and the need for co-design from the start.
Charismatic MC Mary Freer joined Rob DiMonte for a thoughtful discussion on the importance of civic ownership and the need to support our communities in a purposeful economy.
