THE ELECTION IS ONLY EIGHT DAYS AWAY

Thanks to generous contributions from our wonderful supporters, we were able to meet our fundraising goals this week ahead of our 8-day filing report.

That’s right – the special election in Senate District 6 is only eight days away! The momentum is on our side and we’re fired up and ready to win on January 26. We’re in the final stretch and you can help us get where we need to be with a contribution to the campaign today.

SYLVIA'S SUPER SATURDAY

Are you ready to help Team Garcia cross the finish line? Join us for Sylvia’s Super Saturday tomorrow. There are plenty of ways for you to get involved in our campaign:

• Volunteers helping in the office
• Block walking to talk to voters at their doors
• Phone banking from the office
• Greeting voters at the polls

We also need drivers with cars to take voters to the polls. We need drivers the most in the mornings from 7 AM - 11 AM and the evenings from 3 PM - 7 PM.

Give us a call at (832) 885-6667 to sign up to volunteer!

FOUR MORE DAYS OF EARLY VOTING

If you haven’t voted yet, you still have four days left to vote early before Election Day. The polls are open today and tomorrow from 7 AM - 7 PM; Sunday from 1 PM - 6 PM; and Monday and Tuesday from 7 AM - 7 PM. Look up your closest voting location here.

The polls will open again on Election Day, January 26, from 7 AM - 7 PM. You can find your designated polling place for Election Day on the Harris County Elections website.

MESSAGE FROM SYLVIA

I still can’t believe that the special election is only a week from tomorrow. I want to personally thank each and every person who has joined Team Garcia during this campaign. Some of you put out signs; some called voters or knocked on doors. Some of you gave money and others gave their time volunteering at our campaign headquarters. Every person has made a difference and has put us in the position we are in today – the frontrunner in the race for Senate District 6.

My family and I are ready for Election Day, but I’m even more excited for what comes next. I have spent the past couple of months talking to people across the district, listening to your concerns and your ideas about how to make Texas better. I am looking forward to taking your voices to Austin and fighting for your interests in the Texas Senate.

Education is a priority in our district and we will work with our local elected leaders to make the schools the best in the country. That's why I was pleased to be with Rep. Alma Allen this week at the swearing in of the new Harris County Board of Education trustees, Erica S. Lee and Diane Trautman. Together, we will fight to fully fund our public schools.

Your priorities are my priorities. If you choose to send me to the Senate, I pledge that I will always speak for you. I won’t speak for the partisan politicians or the special interests. I will put the people of this district first.

We can only make this a reality if we win on January 26 – so go vote, and be sure to tell your friends and family how important it is that they do the same. See you at the polls!

– Sylvia
