Crochet Hope

Who could forget her story! As the London Guardian wryly observed, "Whatever faults Maria D'Antuono may have, wasting time is not among them." The 98-year-old woman was one of the few survivors to be pulled from the rubble of a 6.3 magnitude earthquake that struck central Italy. For thirty dark and interminable hours, she lay trapped beneath the ruins of her home, not far from the L'Aquila epicenter. read more

"Against the Strongholds"

The immense challenge of penetrating an essentially pagan culture and nation for Christ—in Japan, in this country, as well as nations across the earth—is unprecedented. Centuries of Christian witness have seemingly failed. But God is not defeated—for "the weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have power to demolish strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4)! It is time to come against those strongholds of Satan with Heaven’s potent weapon of collective, intercessory prayer.

From 7:00 PM on Friday, April 6, to 7:00 PM on Sabbath, April 7, we are convening a campus-wide Day of Prayer and Fasting. Each of us has a dozen urgent prayer needs we must bring to God.

New Traffic Pattern

Starting Sabbath, March 24, there is a new traffic pattern as you drive past the church. Please note the following:

  • There will now be a two-way road on the north side of the circle. This will be the new route for all traffic heading east and west on West Campus Circle Drive. Be advised the road will be rough through this area until the new pavement is complete. For details on traffic flow, see the map here.
  • West Campus Circle Drive at the south side of PMC will be barricaded in order to complete curb construction. East- and west-bound traffic will route to the north, which will temporarily require closure of the drop-off area on the south side of PMC. There will be signs at the usual drop-off area directing traffic to the parking lot side of PMC for drop-offs. Please respect these directional signs to assist in smooth traffic flow at the south side of PMC.
  • The intersection at University Boulevard and West Campus Circle Drive will be a four-way stop during construction. Please be aware of and yield to pedestrians crossing the roads in these areas.
