If you are interested in filling one of the vacant positions on the Board of Directors as noted above, please visit our region webpage. The Regional Officer Onboard Webinar on this page shares information about the roles and responsibilities of each of the regional positions. You can also find on this page the Region Election Policy and Job Descriptions. Finally, visit your Region calendar to find out when the region will hold a delegate assembly, which is when the elections are held. If you're not sure what region you are in, use the search engine in the top right corner on each page to enter your college name and locate your region. If you would like any assistance regarding the election process or being a regional representative, you can email VP of Regional Affairs Brianna Ross for more information at vpra@ssccc.org. We look forward to having you join our team! Are you interested in serving at the state level on topics that affect students? The SSCCC appoints students to over 25 participatory governance groups ranging from topics such as diversity, equity, and inclusion, distance education, textbooks and open educational resources, curriculum development and so many more! You can find a list of the current groups on our website at this link. We are looking for California community college students who represent the full population of California community colleges including all ethnicities, ages, regions, abilities, and those who are passionate about student issues and concerns. This year we are pleased to announce that students serving on statewide participatory groups will receive a stipend. SSCCC Fun FactsThe SSCCC hired its first employee in 2019 when the Board of Directors hired Dr. Julie Adams as the Executive Director. In March, the SSCCC hired an Executive Assistant Rosita Olalde, and this month the organization hired two additional employees - Legislative Affairs Specialist - Nooshin Movassaghi and Community Organizer - Stephen Kodur.
