New Member Report - Jerry Jones

We had a great membership action at the general meeting Friday night.  Two First Readings and FIVE Second Readings.  Welcome aboard to our new members and we reached a milestone with one new members having #1000.  Now we need to get busy on recruiting the next  1000.  The applications for our new first readings are posted on the bulletin board in the galley hallway.

First Readings:  Steve Lobo from Emerald Hills is crewing in our races.  Nominated by Brett Herr and Jon McCarty.

Peter Weigt and Anja Bog from Mountain View have a 14 foot Fin "White Fin" kept in the dry storage lot.  Nominated by David Elliott and Petra Gilmore.

Second Readings:  Cliff and Anna Kramer from San Carlos have a Hunter 290 "Boundless" berthed at the Oakland YC where they are also members.  Nominated by Phaedra Fisher and Rick Dalton.

Olivia Sadlowski from Redwood City is crewing in our races and ishelping maintain our Santana 22 boats. Nominated by Brett Herr  and Petra Gilmore.

April Given and Boris Polman are from Redwood City.  They have a Willard 8 Ton "Entelecheia" berthed in Westpoint Marina and have extensive ocean sailing  experience.  Nominated by Micky Alm and Brett Herr.

David Sharp from Mountain View has been crewing for several years in our racing and has decided to join SYC.  Nominated by Brett Herr and David Elliott.

Tom Borgstrom from Palo Alto is crewing in our races.  Nominated by John Ryan and Noel Bird.

Welcome all our new members.  They have a GREEN DOT on their name badges.

Celebrate the Fourth of July at the Club

 

Mark your calendar!!!

This year's Fourh of july lands on a Thursday this year so we have a fun night planned. In addition it is our sail night hosted by Peter McCormick so we you can sail enjoy a traditional 4th of July hot dogs and burgers on the grill.

The Port will also have fireworks so you need to get to the club early and the parking lot will fill up and the roads will be closed to traffic for a period of time.
