Iran in the News (Lessons from Persia)

Once upon a time, there was a man of prayer very agitated about events in Iran. Technically it wasn’t Iran—but it may as well have been—given the headlines we’re living with these days. Two recent oil tanker sabotages and the subsequent Iranian missile take-down of an unmanned U.S. military drone somewhere over the Strait of Hormuz in the Gulf region—along with the saber-rattling in Tehran and Washington—have once again stirred up talk of an all-out Middle East conflagration. Don't Miss This Friday Evening's Agape Feast/Lord's Supper!

We’ve been talking about it for a long time—this special "in exile" celebration of the cross—and we hope you’ll be there. You will see Pioneer as you’ve never seen it before (and hopefully will never see it again!)—hollowed out and empty, half way to renovation. But in that open space will be a beautifully arranged symbol of the cross around which we will gather as a worshiping Family.

The Supper is in honor of the Savior. But he invites us all to partake—fresh fruits and nuts for the Feast, and of course the towel, the bread and the cup for the Supper. Friday evening, 6:58, come to the Table. Dress informally. Bring your children. Invite your friends. And let’s "do this in remembrance" of our BFF.
