2016 ILLiad Conference Registration Now Open

We hope you’ve already marked your calendar to attend this year’s ILLiad Conference in Virginia Beach.
Pre-Conference: Tuesday, March 15, 2016
Conference: Wednesday and Thursday, March 16-17, 2016

Now it’s time to register.
If you have an Atlas account for training and conference activity, log in to your account at https://conference.atlas-sys.com/ and register for the 2016 ILLiad International Conference.

If you do not have an Atlas account, please visit http://www.atlas-sys.com/conference/ for information on how to set up your account and register for the conference.

We say this every year, but it’s worth repeating: Don’t wait too long to register! Conference space is limited and we know from experience that session seats fill up fast.

There are also two other good reasons to register early. Early Bird pricing ends February 29 and the conference hotel rate will be available only until the dates listed on the conference travel information page or until the group block is sold out. After that, you might still get a hotel room, but you won’t be guaranteed the conference rate.

Don’t delay—Register today!  See you in Virginia Beach! Questions?  Email us at illiadconference@atlas-sys.com.

ILLiad Conference—A Great Investment

You know how much you stand to gain by attending the ILLiad Conference. If you need to demonstrate the conference’s value to others at your institution there are two ways to get the conversation going.

First, take a look at the program schedule and share the breadth and depth of sessions to be offered. This year’s topics include: copyright, assessment, using text messaging for notification, updating your ILLiad web pages, Linked Data, transforming the patron experience, improving fill rates, and much more.

Second, take a look at Making the Case for Attending the ILLiad Conference. This should give you some ideas on how to talk about the benefits of the conference to your institution.

Need more help “making the case?” Email us at illiadconference@atlas-sys.com.

It’s a New Year—How about an ILLiad Tune-up?

Have new staff or looking at improving the way you manage ILL? A Tune-up can help. Atlas staff works with you to identify the work you want to have done—workflow, database cleanup, web pages, etc.—and can include visiting your site to get the work and training done. Visit http://www.atlas-sys.com/services/tune-ups/ and watch our short video for tune-up details. For information, email training@atlas-sys.com.

Ares 4.6 Now Available

Ares users have some new and improved capabilities with Ares 4.6. Here are some of the highlights of the new release.

  • Server addons can now be stored in the database, shared with others more easily and can be encrypted. Existing server addons will be converted during the update to Ares 4.6.
  • The new Clipboard Wizard Addon allows you to set which field is automatically saved to the Clipboard when you open a request.
  • Print template automatically closes after merging so only the merged document is open.
  • New default web pages are 508 and WCAG compliant for visually impaired users.
  • Multiple items can be selected so you can modify certain fields (e.g., processing location) or delete them entirely.

For more information on Ares 4.6 visit https://prometheus.atlas-sys.com/display/Ares/Ares+4.6+Home.

Ares Roundtable at ILLiad Conference—Current and Prospective Users Welcome!

The Ares reserves management software mirrors the look and feel of ILLiad, making it easy to cross-train staff on both systems. If you’re currently using Ares—or thinking about using Ares—please join us for the Ares Roundtable discussion at the ILLiad Conference. The Roundtable will be held on Tuesday March 15 from 4:00-5:00pm in Albemarle Hall at the Hilton.
