MASTER COACHES SERIES RETURNS

EWA is excited to again be hosting the Master Coaches Series at the State Equestrian Centre. The Master Coaches Series aims to provide equestrian enthusiasts exposure to Australia’s top coaches in a masterclass format. All members of the equestrian community are welcome to enjoy these informal educational evenings held in the indoor stadium. Prices start at $15 with discounts for EWA Members, La Noir Saddleworld High Performance members, EA Coaches/Officials and large groups.

The first of this series will be on the 7:00pm Wednesday 1 August with EA Level 3 Jumping Specialist Rod Brown. REGISTER ONLINE

WARNING REGARDING USE OF PRODUCTS CONTAINING ALTRENOGEST

Equestrian Australia (EA) wishes to notify its members about recent warnings issued by Racing Victoria, Racing New South Wales, and Racing Queensland concerning the use of products containing altrenogest. Altrenogest is currently permitted under FEI and hence EA rules for use in mares for oestrus/cycle control, however use in geldings or stallions is prohibited. MORE

INTERIM CEO APPOINTED

EA is in the final stages of appointing a new Chief Executive Officer. During this process, the EA Board has accepted an offer by Equestrian NSW for Mr Bruce Farrar, CEO, ENSW, to take up the short-term appointment of Interim CEO.  He brings to the position five years of experience as CEO of ENSW. He was not an applicant for the position of CEO Equestrian Australia.

Rod Henderson, Swan Valley Gidgegannup Ward Councillor, will present overall key issues for residents to consider and Mr. Barkley Day, BD Water Services, will speak on Equine water use in the Valley.

LESSONS WITH ROD BROWN

EWA is pleased to announce that international high performance coach and former Olympian, Rod Brown, will be visiting WA from 31 July - 2 August to provide lessons to La Noir Equestrian Jumping and Eventing Squad members. STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS WARM-UP & EDUCATIONAL EVENT

DWA Dressage Development Series presents a State Championships Warm-Up and Educational Event on Thursday 23rd, Friday 24th and Saturday 25th August at the SEC.

Make your State Dressage Championships a smooth and successful event. This is a fantastic opportunity to familiarise your horse with the Indoor Arena and ride through your tests to maximise scores at State's.

.2 and .3, FEI, Freestyles plus Para-Equestrian and Participant/AR tests on offer. Freestyles, Freestyles, Freestyles! Practise your Freestyle indoors and check your timing on the surface. EWA Show Horse is excited to present the 2018 Show Horse Seminar & Riders Forum. If you are interested in learning more about the sport and what a judge looks for in a successful Show Horse/Hunter, then this is the seminar for you! The Seminar will feature guest speaker Terry Van Heythuysen (VIC) who has been involved with showing horses for many years and has numerous state and national title wins to his credit.

The EWA Show Horse Committee will also be conducting their annual Forum following the Seminar. Riders, judges and event organisers encouraged to attend to discuss the sport.
