Message from Lorraine Dyke, VP Finance and Administration Thank you to everyone who attended our fall Coffee Hour on Oct. 5. It was wonderful to see more than 200 members of our team on hand for the official launch of the five-year Finance and Administration Strategic Plan. This is a significant accomplishment for our division and over the next few months, I will be doing departmental visits to discuss with you how you envision putting the plan into action. We had special mugs made for the occasion and if you didn’t receive yours, please make arrangements with your departmental administrator. Since Coffee Hour is a popular event for our division, I have decided that it would be a good idea to host three annually, up from the current two, to give another opportunity for us to connect and share our news. So, the next Coffee Hour will be hosted in early 2024, with one to follow in June. On Nov. 2, a test of our university Emergency Notification System (ENS) is planned. A critical part of the test is the push notification function via the Carleton Mobile app, which has been recently updated. Please ensure you have the current version of the app so that push notifications, including from the emergency notification system (ENS), function properly. Instructions to update the app are below. If you have ideas you’d like included in the Finance and Administration newsletter, please submit them by emailing financeadministration@carleton.ca. We welcome your input. Enjoy the fall weather!
