The 10 day countdown to the first AsiaCup Series race has begun, with 25 AsiaCup FB02 formula cars powered up and ready to race. With 25 racecars available, we have 20 drivers from all over the world on the grid for the first AsiaCup race on the Sepang F1 super circuit. Qualifying is on Friday 14th June, with Race 1&2 on Saturday and Race 3 on Sunday just before the Japanese Super GT features race and an expected audience of over 75,000.

In order to control costs and create a level playing field for competitors with different budgets, Meritus.GP has created the concept of “One Cost, One Team, One Track, One Make” for a budget of US$55,000 (which is less than many karters in South East Asia spend in a season of Rotax). 

• Racers from within the AsiaZone require a NatC with no objection letter
• Racers from outside the AsiaZone require an IntC license with a no objections letter
