Reports added for sexual & reproductive healthWith data from the Public Health England Sexual and Reproductive Health Profiles, we've constructed two new reports showing a range of charts exploring key measures of sexual health, HIV, reproductive health and teenage pregnancy. Sexual and reproductive health have strong associations with mental wellbeing and social determinants of health. The reports are designed to be viewed for an area and a chosen comparison group from LG Inform's wide range, including authorities of a region and CIPFA Nearest Neighbours to name a few. View the report for sexual health in your area, and take a look at the report for reproductive health in your area too. Are You Being Served? regional analysisHow do your resident satisfaction polling results compare to your region? The LGA carries out three national polls over the telephone each year, and the results have now been aggregated to provide a regional breakdown. If you have uploaded telephone polling data for 2016/17 then you will be able to see charts and tables showing how your area compares to your region and England. If you haven’t uploaded data, you can still view this report but only the regional and England values will be displayed. Interested in uploading your polling data? Further information and guidance can be found here. New datasets added in partnership with Arthritis Research UKMusculoskeletal conditions, including arthritis, can reduce quality of life for sufferers, but physical activity can help tackle the pain and lead to a better quality of life. Over the summer we worked with Arthritis Research UK to add new data to LG Inform and LG Inform Plus covering arthritic conditions such as back, knee and hip problems across England. Compiled by Imperial College, the data is available for MSOAs, CCGs and Parliamentary constituencies to help influence strategies in your area. Benchmarking Club: 2017–18 Q2 now open! The record-breaking Benchmarking Club is now open for submissions for 2017–18 Q2 data. We're happily encouraged by the numbers of councils who share data via our benchmarking exercise and it's delightful to see that the data is helping councils to learn, build and improve. Alongside the usual metrics, we've added new measures to be viewed in reports once you submitted the data. You can also view our collection of benchmarking reports built from the datasets. Far from simply understanding your authority's performance and identifying issues, you can also analyse local and national trends by drawing comparisons, develop dashboards to help support managers and members, and produce internal reports to support scrutiny functions. If you have any questions about the Benchmarking Club, please don't hesitate to contact us. Further help meeting the Brownfield Land deadlinePlanning, GIS and data officers will be working through Brownfield Land data at the moment, ready to meet the requirement to publish information on brownfield sites by 31 December 2017. Following successful workshops in north west and north east England, a final event is planned in London for 8 November 2017. DCLG will recap on the requirement to publish a brownfield site register in a standard form, with colleagues from iStandUK, Planning Advisory Service, the LGA and data.gov.uk providing explanations and demonstrations of completing the process. Other organisations – Ordnance Survey, the Open Data Institute, and Future Cities Catapult – will also be in attendance to provide further support. People and Place report for small areasIn January we published a new report, developed with Hinckley & Bosworth, exploring the performance of an area through both its people and economic and environmental factors. As you know, we continually manage and update the database to include new data, and you're invited to take another look. The report covers a range of themes including demographics, health, employment and deprivation as well as important economic indicators such as infrastructure, industrial structure, skills and qualifications, house prices and tenure. These success factors are displayed through a series of maps, tables and charts and can be viewed for most small area geographies. Use the selectors at the top of the page to view the report for your authority. Training and eventsBook your place on one of our popular training days using the links below.
