PNA HIGHLIGHTS & HAPPENINGS
Time to assemble for the action-packed return of a beloved PNA tradition, the spring fundraiser! This year’s event is a superhero-themed party called Back in Action! and we’re thrilled to unite the community for a stupendous evening on Sat, April 30 at 5:30 pm. Team up with your superhero squad to enjoy incredible food and drinks, terrific games, and an amazing auction as you raise funds for our vital work. Tickets are selling faster than a locomotive, so summon your sidekicks and pick up tix before they disappear! Thank you to our Back in Action! presenting sponsors HomeStreet Bank and Greenwood Hardware.
We're conducting a Community Needs Assessment to better understand the community within our northwest Seattle service area and we want your input! We’re forming a Community Advisory Group to inform our future goals and plans. Interested in joining the group? Click here to learn more and watch for out for our community survey in a few weeks! Please share these opportunities with everyone in your
network. En español.
Are you interested in connecting more with others in the community but aren’t sure how? Do you have a friend or relative who could benefit from increased social connection? Our Social Connection Project can help! It works to increase social connection among older adults and reduce the impacts of isolation. Contact Social Connection Project Coordinator Teresa Tam at teresat@phinneycenter.org or 206.531.0061 to learn more!
Vivid neon powder covered more than 1,100 happy faces at our Holi Festival on March 26. Attendees joyously danced and coated each other in colors as an irresistible blend of Bollywood, Bhangra, and EDM tunes filled our lower parking lot. Our annual Holi celebration started in 2018 with a neighbor who wanted to share her culture with the community and this year's event continued that tradition. If you’d like to be involved with the 2023 Holi festival, please contact our Community Projects Manager Mary Campbell. Learn more about the celebration and explore stunning pics in this recap blog.
Join our PNA Village Program to learn something new about the way trees interact with the world. There will be talks, tree walks, intergenerational art projects, a song circle—fun events for the whole family. Learn why we should view trees as more than a commodity and appreciate the puzzles and wonders they share with us.

Event Photographer
Have a keen eye, steady hand, and your own digital camera? We want you on our team of volunteer photographers! You pick the PNA events that you want to photograph. Must go through pics and email good ones within a week of the event.
Treat Makers
We need baked goods for our weekly GSC Early Stage Memory Loss (ESML) classes, about a dozen people total. Most baked goods will be frozen, so we ask that you make tea breads, bars, brownies, cookies, etc. No individual cupcakes or muffins as they don’t freeze well. Treats should be packaged in foil or freezer-style zip top bags labeled with the contents and date made and delivered to the GSC at 525 N 85 St, 98103. Earn 1 hour of service per item baked, limit 2 hours per delivery.
