Changes to electronic screening tool Several minor changes have been made to Niagara Region’s online screening tool, and will take effect on Saturday, June 27. Work locations will be organized by the municipality they are located in. Start by selecting the municipality that the site you intend to enter is located in – this will generate a list of Niagara Region facilities and worksites to choose from. Headquarters will remain a standalone site located at the top of the page. This change will help to manage and organize the increasing number of sites now in the tool. To better accommodate a recent increase in testing of asymptomatic individuals due to new long-term care home visiting requirements, the question regarding persons living in your household will be clarified. Questions will also be reordered to accommodate other needs. Please ensure you read all questions carefully, each day. Updated manual tracking forms will be available on the COVID-19 Staff Resources Vine page later today, for those that require them. Leaders, please ensure you use the Employee form for Niagara Region employees and the Contractor form for employees of contracted companies. The “C” and “E” in the bottom right corner of the forms indicate the staff group they are to be used for, for easy reference. Each person entering a Niagara Region facility or worksite is required to complete the Daily Self-Screen for COVID-19 Risk, whether there is a screener inside the facility at the time or not. Please complete each question each day that you access a facility/worksite. If you have difficulty closing browser windows or adding the screening tool to your device’s home screen, speak to Kathleen Uranick at the screening table at Regional Headquarters from 9 AM to 12 noon, Monday to Friday, or contact Amy Romagnoli (amy.romagnoli@niagararegion.ca). COVID-19 Town Hall #6 Ron Tripp and Dr. Hirji are back to answer more of your COVID-19 related questions in their sixth Town Hall, available on Vine. Topics include face coverings, business continuity, health and safety in the community, Stage 2 reopening and more. |
