Mentor eNews: June edition

The formal networking event for the Business Career Mentor Program, Connect, was held at SAHMRI on Wednesday 23 May. We are excited to report that close to 200 participants were in attendance. Thank you to the mentors who were able to come along. We received some glowing feedback from mentees who really enjoyed having the opportunity to meet you all.

One lucky mentee took home a $200 Rigoni's Bistro voucher to take her mentor for a lunch or dinner meeting, as a result of the People Bingo networking activity. And mentor, Ida Wong Taylor, Lending Development Manager at BankSA, took home a lovely bottle of wine as the winner of the business card draw.

Have a look at the photos from the event on our Flickr page.

Mentor Forums

On July 24 and 25 we are hosting mentor forums. This is your opportunity as a mentor to provide feedback on how the Business Career Mentor Program is structured, share your success stories and your challenges.

In order for us to prepare for these sessions and maximise the time we have available, we would appreciate any suggested topics of discussion emailed to our team by Friday 13 July. From this we will establish some themes for each session.

Lunch forum:
Date: Tuesday 24 July
Time: 12:30pm - 2:00pm
Location: City West Campus

Dinner forum:
Date: Wednesday 25 July
Time: 6:00pm - 7:30pm
Location: City West Campus

At this stage we still have space available in both sessions. Places are limited though, so if you would like to come along please register as soon as possible.
