Priorities going forward
The Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) Project has recently reviewed its priorities, particularly in view of the Waka Kotahi Board indicating that the 2020/21 summer audit programme is their priority focus.
As a result the CoPTTM/NZGTTM documentation review workstream will be adjusted and may progress at a slightly slower rate until the audits are completed to enable Waka Kotahi to allocate SME resources to this key task.
The submission review meetings with the Stakeholder Review Group Leads will continue according to the timetable already established.
A critical element in the success of the summer audit programme is collaboration between the auditors and local traffic management controllers. This will help us to ensure active sites for audit are identified in time for the audit activity to be well planned and effective.
The current CoPTTM is still fit for purpose and remains the primary reference document and source of information for temporary traffic management in New Zealand.
The review is simply to update the code to reflect the greater emphasis required on a risk based approach and provide the appropriate level of alignment with the Austroads Guide.
