Longest Lutheran Lunch

I have to get myself organised early for my own congregation's Longest Lutheran Lunch. At Vectis we've decided to celebrate our Longest Lutheran Lunch and the LCA’s 50th Anniversary on Friday, 30 September – a month ahead of schedule!

In Victoria, this is a public holiday due to the AFL Grand Final the next day (no comment about that!) so we are going to spend some time cleaning up our ‘backyard’, which is about five acres! We’ve had glorious rain throughout winter and the weeds have tripled in size. We’re going to pick up sticks, light the bonfire, make salads, cook a BBQ, run a movie for the little ones, enjoy a glass of wine and invite those we haven’t seen for a while. 

If I get my request in now, we might be fortunate to have a 50th anniversary cake as well. To create our invitations, we’re going to download the event logos from the Longest Lutheran Lunch website. You can do the same.
