Coronavirus (COVID-19) | Update for Residents and Families

Dear Resident Family Member,

RE: COVID-19 Outbreak Update for Residents and Families: Calvary Haydon Retirement Community

Further to our update earlier today, we want to inform residents and families that at the time of writing, the number of confirmed positive cases remains the same:

  • Nine (9) residents (all residents of the Mary Potter household); and
  • Three (3) members of staff (all self-isolating at home).

With the assistance of ACT Health, the retesting of residents and staff occurred throughout today on site and we expect to have the results of this testing by tomorrow.

Residents and families will be notified of any additional cases as soon as we have this information. In the instance a resident returns a positive COVID-19 test, the resident, their family and doctor will be contacted directly by the facility and provided with an update on current health and wellbeing.

The retesting of residents and staff will continue every 72 hours, or as otherwise advised by the ACT Public Health Unit. The next deep clean at the facility will take place tomorrow and further deep cleans will be conducted at intervals consistent with ACT Public Health Unit directions.

We know that this is a very difficult time for residents and families and that you will be feeling anxiety.
