Welcome back to NZ Jeroen Speak and Dorothy Ker! Jeroen Speak is the 2013–14 Creative New Zealand/Jack C. Richards Composer-in-Residence at the New Zealand School of Music, while his partner, composer Dorothy Ker, is here as a Research Teaching Associate at NZSM. >MORE

  Hidden Treasure

Linn Lorkin's Hey Piano Bar Lady! album tells the tale of Linn's time in the Big Apple in the late '70s and '80s  as she sleeps on sofas, searches for true love and plays her "piano bar lady" way from rusty SoHo to ritzy Park Avenue.  

Her song Family at the Beach which features on this album was voted Best Kiwi Summer Song in a recent New Zealand Radio Listeners' Poll.

Thanks to The New Zealand Dance Company you can enter to win a FREE double pass to Rotunda in Auckland for their opening night performance on Friday 30 August.

This unique season features the powerful collision of a live brass band with the raw beauty of contemporary dance. Created by the company’s Artistic Director, Shona McCullagh in collaboration with the NZDC dancers, musician Chris O’Connor and celebrated singer, songwriter and composer Don McGlashan as Musical Director, Rotunda brings to life the world of the band rotunda as an iconic symbol of New Zealand community.
