BES Spirit Week Coming Next Week as We Celebrate the End of 2019-2020 School YearOnly one more week until we reach the end of the 2019-2020 school year, and we are ending it with a bang! The last week is BES Spirit Week, and we hope you'll join us in celebrating. Teachers will be sending particular details about how students can participate in Zoom meetings in fun ways. We will also have three major events, the Virtual Awards Ceremony for Grades 4-6 on Tuesday, May 19, the Car Parade on Wednesday, May 20 and Virtual Challenge Day on Thursday, May 21. Our Virtual Awards Ceremony for Grades 4-6 families is on Tuesday, May 19 at 9:00 a.m. More details will be emailed from teachers in the coming days to those grade levels. The Car Parade is a lighthearted all-school event that will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20 in the carpool line of the BES campus. You are invited to decorate your car at home in whatever fun way you choose, and then you can drive in the vehicle with your whole family through the normal carpool line for school, from 3rd Street North to 10th Avenue North, right on 5th Street North, and then right on 11th Avenue North into the carpool lane. If you get turned around, we will have faculty and staff on hand to steer you in the right direction. Teachers and administrators will also be handing out special treats as fun music plays in the background. We simply ask that you stay in your vehicles and allow us to shower you with blessings as we cap off a memorable year at BES. Virtual Challenge Day is a school-wide event on May 21 that will be coordinated by Tricia Novak, Physical Education teacher. More details will be emailed to parents from teachers on Monday, May 18 and will be available online on the Athletics page under the Programs subheading. The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. on May 21 with a Facebook Live video from Mrs. Novak and will close with a wrap-up video at 12:00 p.m. after students have completed their challenges at home. A Graduation Ceremony for our graduating students will be a special sixth grade families-only event on the BES campus after the last day of school. Additional details have been sent to our sixth grade families.
