Residents update12th January 2018 to 26th January 2018Visitors CentreWe are pleased to announce that our Visitors Centre has now opened and we have commenced sales of the new homes at Buckler's Park. We were also delighted to recently host two historic Buckler cars at our opening weekend. Development Access BWe anticipate the toucan crossing being completed in late February, we are still awaiting confirmed timings and will be able to update residents in due course. Development Access A – near Ellis RoadThe development access A is now approximately 90% complete with the bellmouth built. Cycleway and drainage ditch improvements remain to be completed during January. Development Access C – north of Hatch RideWe expect construction of Development Access C to start at the end of January and for these works to last approximately 12 weeks. Traffic management will be required for these works with traffic lights in place for part of them. As work progresses we will provide further details. Nine Mile Ride/Old Wokingham Road RoundaboutThe highway improvements phase of the works continues, with the south eastern corner 80% complete and works ongoing to the north western corner where we are completing drainage improvements. These works are expected to continue until approximately mid-April, when the completed roundabout will be resurfaced. We will update residents on the programme for the resurfacing in future updates once we have agreed the detailed method with the local authority highways. Housebuilding – Phase 1The construction of our homes continues and superstructure build commences on the 15th January. We are currently building site roads and drainage and constructing foundations for the first phases of new homes. Construction of the spine road across the development also continues with those works approximately 40% completed. Nine Mile Ride/Crowthorne HouseWe continue to construct a temporary access to Crowthorne House to enable the realignment of the access to Crowthorne House. We do not expect these works to affect Nine Mile Ride and they will not require any traffic management, but residents will continue to notice an increase in activity close to the roundabout. SANGThe works to the SANG are now well underway with pond excavation 80% completed and landscaping and footpath construction on-going. Safety & SecurityOur site is patrolled by security including support from a canine team. We would however like to take this opportunity to remind residents that whilst all reasonable precautions are taken, building sites can seem exciting to children but they can be dangerous places. We would ask parents to be mindful of children potentially trying to gain access to the site, particularly during holiday times and weekends. The next residents update email will be issued on Friday 26th January |
