The Tower Industry Family Support Charitable Foundation (Tower Family Foundation), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, has been established to help provide financial assistance to family members of a severely injured, permanently disabled, or deceased tower worker injured or killed in an accident stemming from working at heights on communication structures or other on the job related activities that tower workers are involved in on a daily basis.
The Foundation will formally launch during a reception and press conference that is being held in conjunction with CTIA’s “Super Mobility Week” on Wednesday, September 10 from 5:15 PM – 7:30 PM (PDT) at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. During the reception, there will be a press conference at 6:00 PM to announce a major donation that was made in order to help establish the Foundation. All industry stakeholders and media personnel are invited to attend this special event. Beverages and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
“We encourage all attendees at Super Mobility Week to join us for this inaugural Foundation event and help us spread the word about the resources available to tower workers and their families during times of need,” stated Foundation President Jim Tracy, CEO of Legacy Telecommunications, Inc. in Burley, Washington.
“The Board of Directors and Advisory Committee members have worked diligently to establish the official criteria, guidelines and application processes that will govern the distribution of donations and we are excited to launch the Foundation at CTIA’s Super Mobility Week,” exclaimed Advisory Committee member John Talley of Talley, Inc. in Santa Fe Springs, California.
