UPDATE FROM EQUESTRIAN WA ON EA ADMINISTRATION

Equestrian WA would like to assure EWA Members that member, official, coach and club insurance cover remains in place while EA is in Administration. EWA has been involved in discussions with the EA Administrators and each State organisation to ensure that membership services that EA provides are not affected. EWA and all states are seeking to meet with the Administrators as soon as possible to work through issues arising and, in the longer term, will seek a voice in any proposals for any changes to EA's constitution or governance arrangements. EWA will continue to keep you informed as more information becomes available.

NOTICE FOR CLUBS/EVENT ORGANISERS

As restrictions are slowly easing and equestrian activities slowly resuming, it would be highly appreciated it if you contact Meredith Tenger from the Equestrian WA office to let her know of your planned events or any tentative dates to avoid any clashes etc. Thank you!

With the latest easing of restrictions by the WA Government, we have now reviewed and updated the following documents to support the gradual restart of the equestrian activities in WA.

We all want to get back to normal life as soon as possible. Ensuring our members, their friends and families remain safe and prepared is critical to achieving this.

One of the ways we can all play our part is to get the Australian Government's COVIDSafe app. While downloading the app is entirely voluntary, it has been highly recommended by both the Australian and WA Governments to assist our health professionals and help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Equestrian WA is encouraging all members to consider downloading the app to help keep our community safer.

STATE EQUESTRIAN CENTRE

08/06/2020

To avoid disappointment, we recommend you to book your training/riding sessions in advance as we are closed on Mondays and will continue to close on every Monday for the next 6 weeks!

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience.

Please note that all other areas except for Park & Ride are open for bookings on other days unless specified otherwise on the booking portal.

Also note that every person entering the State Equestrian Centre would require a booking to comply with the government's contact tracing requirement.

Thank you!

CONNECTION IS KEY

Eventing has slowed down a little since the new requirements for social distancing came into play. However, some of our Eventing officials have remained engaged and active.

Initially the main objective was to connect with each other, but each meeting has covered a particular topic of interest.

Covered to date have been The Latest Requirements for Officials Accreditation, by Roger Kane and Cross Country Guidelines, with Ewan Kellett.
