Now that we are in a runoff, there is no slowing down for Team Garcia. Coming out of Election Day with the lead was a great boost, but now we need to build on that success and bring it home. Just this week, Team Garcia held a volunteer leadership meeting in order to get feedback directly from our grassroots activists. We did an overview of what Election Day numbers meant and then planned the final strategy. When all is said and done, it will be your input and hard work that will push us over the top. We cannot thank you enough.

Team Garcia is proud of the over 90,000 phone calls and over 100,000 doors knocked during the first part of this campaign. And now we have to do it one more time. Every day here at Team Garcia we have volunteer opportunities for you. Whether it is making phone calls or out knocking on doors, we have everything ready. The only thing missing is you! 

With this great weather we’ve been having, it sure is a nice day for an outdoor walk. Come join us. Here are some events you can help out with:

Every day that I spend campaigning, I am humbled by the support from the community. People from all walks of life and backgrounds are coming together and standing up to Rick Perry and saying, “Enough is enough!” I am honored these people have placed their trust in me and I promise I will not let them down if I am given the privilege to serve as your state senator in Austin.

In every part of the district, I hear stories from people who are struggling because Rick Perry and the extremist Republicans have written them off in Austin. This is the motivation that keeps me going. I will continue this fight until every family in Senate District 6 has a fair shot at a better future for their families. Whether you are a janitor, a dock worker, or a teacher, everyone deserves to reach their full potential and to achieve the American Dream. I will fight to make sure that is a possibility.

While this has been a long campaign, it is far from over. Team Garcia needs your help for just a little longer. We can’t win this without you. Please join us at our headquarters and commit to volunteering your time. Together, we can win this.
