Harvest Moon Mix & Match
Our 12th annual Harvest Moon Mix & Match prelims starts Oct 8th.
The competition is open to Amateur dancers, and the prizes are tickets to cool events. The entry fee is $6. Sign up at the front desk.

Beginners:
8-count Lindy Hop

Come learn Lindy Hop! You'll build the dance from the basics while learning some of the history of this Black American art form.

Swingout Partnered Variations

Swingouts- the defining move of Lindy Hop. In this class, we'll work on improving how your swingouts feel and give you a whole bunch of partnered variations such as the Texas Tommy and forward swingouts.

Intermediate: Exploring the World of Charleston

We LOVE Charleston! This month we’ll cover: smooth transitions between Lindy & Charleston, playful variations, and how to bring flow into your dancing. Charleston is full of energy and joyeven when the music gets fast.

Adventure: Blues-From Harlem Ballrooms to West Coast Blues Bars

We’ll explore how Blues and Swing shaped each other and learn Savoy Walk, Boogie, and Texas Shuffle. Each rooted in Blues values with its own style and . You’ll soon be ready to dance to a wide range of blues music.

Audition: Slides and Smooth Stylings

Get ready to glide! This month’s Audition class is all about smooth, fancy footwork and slides that add extra flair. Pro tip: wear slick shoes so you can slip, slide, and shine!

WNH will dedicate a room to all things “fast swing.” This could mean uptempo Lindy Hop, or dancing other swing dances such as Balboa or Collegiate Shag that evolved with faster music. Give it a whirl!
