It has been great to return to Aquinas College after an absence of over 4 decades. In my formative years, the College complemented the values I learned in our home which was in Salter Point. I am the oldest of three brothers (Class of 1979), followed by Sean (1981) and Lachlan (1982). We all fondly recall our school days, and I am delighted to be the first Old Boy to be Principal of our great school.
My initial few months have been very positive. I was filled with wonder and awe at the magnificence of our campus when I commenced as a Junior School student in the 1970s and that feeling still exists every time, I enter our beautiful grounds.
Of far more significance is the quality of our young Aquinians and the staff dedicated to providing an excellent Catholic education in the Edmund Rice tradition. In my early days I am concentrating on learning more of our culture as we look to shape our strategic direction for the future.
Aquinas is a wonderful school and I look forward to engaging further with our current families and those who have left a proud legacy since 1894.

Beverley Dinner
The Old Aquinians’ Association are hosting the 87th Annual Beverley & Districts PSA Old Scholars’ Association Dinner at the Beverley Golf Club on Friday 31 March 2023.
We are pleased to announce that former Fremantle Docker, Paul Duffield (Class of 2002) will be our guest speaker. Paul will share his story from Darkan to the AFL and back again.
The new Aquinas College Principal Robert Henderson (Class of 1979) will also be attending the dinner.

Is your reunion not listed above? We are looking for volunteers to help with the planning of the reunions for Class of 1973, 1998, 2008, 2013, 2018. Not much to do. All we ask is for you to set the date and decide on the venue. College helps with RSVPs and payments. Email oaa@aquinas.wa.edu.au if you are able to help.
The most important detail for reunions is to find the Old Aquinians who have lost touch with the College and their peers. Reach out to your AC network and try to reconnect to ensure everyone receives an invite.

Although COVID thwarted this initiative in the first instance, Mr Van Dyk, Head of Senior School, is very keen to connect students to the world of work, through shared story of Old Aquinian’s.

Scorchers Win!
Huge congrats to Old Aquinians Cameron Bancroft ('10) and Aaron Hardie ('16), and the Perth Scorchers on becoming BBL Champions recently!
UFC 284
Old Aquinian Jack Della Maddelena ('13) took to the octagon in UFC 284 last month in the welterweight division at RAC Arena! This was Jacks first UFC fight in Australia. Well done, Jack!
2023 Foundation Ball Postponed
Join us for a special Aquinas College Foundation Ball in 2024 to celebrate 130 years of Growing Good Men at Aquinas College: 1894 to 2024. This will be a night for the history books, as the Aquinas community unites for an evening of thanks, fun and elegance, while raising funds for the Aquinas College Foundation Bursary Program.
