Texas Wireless Association Named as Premier Sponsor for 2024 Tower Family Foundation Golf Event

The Tower Family Foundation announces Texas Wireless Association (TXWA) will be the Premier Sponsor for the upcoming Golf Event to be held at the Colonial Country Club in Cordova (Memphis), Tennessee on February 22, 2024, as part of the highly anticipated series of events hosted in conjunction with the NATE UNITE 2024 Conference. As the Premier Sponsor, TXWA’s generous donation of $50,000 will directly benefit tower industry workers and their families by providing financial assistance and scholarship funds for those impacted by on-the-job accidents, fatalities, or other emergency life circumstances.

“On behalf of the TXWA Family, we are humbled to grow this relationship with the Tower Family Foundation,” said the TXWA Board Executive Officers and Members. “We look forward to many years as faithful stewards to this organization.”

“Generosity comes in all forms, but a financial contribution of this magnitude is incredible,” said Tower Family Foundation Golf Committee Member, Pete Hagstrom. “Thank you, TXWA!”

All proceeds generated from the upcoming golf event will go to the Tower Family Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Since its inception in 2014, the Tower Family Foundation has awarded over $1,300,000 in financial assistance and scholarships to eligible tower workers and their families.

“The Tower Family Foundation Golf Tournament has evolved into a signature industry event thanks to the generous support of sponsors, including T-Mobile, who helped elevate the 2023 event in Orlando, Florida into generating $125,000 for tower workers and families. To all sponsors, volunteers, participants, and committee members, this annual golf tournament has become a reflection of the generosity, compassion and commitment to the foundation and the people who serve our industry,” said Tommy Lewis, Tower Family Foundation Golf Committee Chairman. “TXWA’s 2024 premier commitment will set the tone to continue to raise the bar on hosting a first-class golf event and ultimately reach our ambitious goals in support of the Tower Family Foundation,” added Lewis.

About Tower Family Foundation

The Tower Family Foundation has been established to help provide financial assistance to family members of a severely injured, permanently disabled, or deceased tower worker injured or killed in an accident stemming from working at heights on communication structures or other on the job related activities that tower workers are involved in on a daily basis. The intent of the donation is to provide a funding “bridge” to the affected families to help pay for immediate needs and help defray other related costs that families experience in a post-accident or fatality situation.
