Cycleway - Old Wokingham Road to Crowthorne RoundaboutWe are awaiting final agreement to commence the cycleway and hope to be starting work shortly. Works to the Crowthorne Roundabout itself will shortly be commencing and they are expected to last approximately 10 weeks. Traffic management will be required including traffic lights for part of the programme but we are still assessing the timing for traffic lights and will update residents further in due course. Development Access C - north of Hatch RideWorks to Access C are underway and progressing well. We are on programme and expect these works to last until late May. Toucan Crossing - Access B - north of Hatch RideWe now expect the Toucan crossing to be installed in April. Over the next 2 – 3 weeks residents will notice increased activity and some traffic management from time to time as part of these works. Housebuilding - Phase 1Our housebuilding works are progressing well despite the recent wet weather. With 100 plus tradesmen on site daily, we have over 80 plots in various stages of construction, from foundations to internal fit out. On site infrastructureThe site infrastructure continues to focus on completing the final sections of drainage and spine road works. SANGWorks to the SANG continue to progress very well and we continue to expect that it will be substantially completed in June. The remaining works focus on planting and installation of various more formal features around the site. Safety & SecurityOur site is patrolled by security including support from a canine team. We would however like to take this opportunity to remind residents that whilst all reasonable precautions are taken, building sites can seem exciting to children but they can be dangerous places. As ever, we would, therefore, ask parents to ensure their children are made aware of the dangers and are instructed not to enter site at any time, unless doing so under the full supervision of our site staff and wearing full personal protection equipment. The next residents update email will be issued in two weeks. |
