What a Blazing Summer! PASTOR'S BLOG Leaving the Olympiad games and the COVID-19 Delta variant out of the picture for a moment, this summer’s unfolding story about wildfires is enough to give any thinking person pause. Even so, yesterday’s headline was jolting, “Smoke
from wildfires reaches the North Pole for the first time in recorded history.” The report opens: “Wildfire smoke has made it to the North Pole for the first time in recorded history, NASA said, as multiple blazes continued to rage across Russia on Tuesday. One of the country's coldest regions has been especially hard hit, with smoke so bad that it blacked out the sun, the Guardian newspaper reported”. Read More

COVID-19 Safety Update Pioneer cares about the health of our community and our congregation. We monitor the spread of COVID-19, especially the delta variant, closely. Berrien County's level of transmission is now High, as classified by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We continue to align with Andrews University (AU) and, beginning August 16, 2021, masks will be required indoors at Pioneer, regardless of vaccination status (AU guidelines). Even for this weekend, with higher risks in an indoor environment, we strongly encourage all who worship and/or attend events at Pioneer to: - wear a mask
- practice social distancing, and
- practice good hand hygiene
In addition,
we ask that you please wear a mask when singing. We pray for God's continued protection to keep our church community safe and healthy. –Pioneer Safety Committee
We Mourn Rozalija (Rose) Molnar passed away on August 1, 2021. There will be a private memorial service to take place at a later date. Matthew J. Fivash, Sr. passed to his rest on August 8, 2021. Visitation will be at Allred Funeral Home on August 11, 6 to 8 p.m. Private graveside
services will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery.
New College Students Welcome Reception August 28, following 11:45 AM Service A reception will take place on the lawn in front of Pioneer (Campus Mall) immediately following the 11:45 AM service on August 28. We are looking for volunteers to help furnish 3 dozen cookies for the event. We will serve cookies
