South Australia Government Business Support PackageThe SA Government has announced a $100 million support package will be provided for both employing and non-employing small businesses in SA. SME businesses forced to close as a result of the state’s seven day lockdown may be eligible for a $3,000 emergency cash grant from the Government of South Australia. Small businesses who don't employ staff may be eligible for $1000. Applications for the grant are expected to open within the next two weeks via the Treasury website. Another good resource as we move out of lockdown is Deloitte's COVID-19 Solar farms powering the City of AdelaideFlow Power, the company that the City of Adelaide uses for its renewable electricity, is helping to power the organisation with new solar farms in Streaky Bay and Coonalpyn reaching full operation. The City of Adelaide is the primary customer of both farms, having signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Flow Power in 2019. This agreement ensures 100 per cent of the City of Adelaide’s operations are powered by renewable electricity while playing a role in driving investment and jobs for business in South Australia. Whitmore Square/Iparrityi Perimeter Path and GreeningFollowing consultation, work will begin shortly to make Whitmore Square/ Iparrityi cleaner, greener and safer for the community. This will include a new footpath around the perimeter of the square and planting of large deciduous trees and garden beds around the edge of the square (between Sturt Street and Wright Street).
