A Reading from the holy gospel according to Mark: (Mark 1: 12 - 15 At once, this same Spirit pushed Jesus out into the wild. For forty wilderness days and nights Jesus was tested by Satan. Wild animals were his companions, and the angels took care of him. After John was arrested, Jesus went to Galilee preaching the message of God: “Time’s up! God’s kingdom is here. Change your life and believe the Message”. This Lent, in seeking forgiveness, look to the sky and see the rainbow. God has promised us forgiveness. We need only to humbly ask for the unconditional love that God has promised. It is there for us now, and we will see it in another beautiful symbol, the cross, on Good Friday. God of mercy, heal our hearts. Click on the Sandpiper Logo to view the latest publication Lunch orders are on Wednesdays! St. John's participated in the District Swimming competition yesterday, with 24 students eagerly doing their best. Congratulations to all those students who made it. There were a lot of students that competed for the first time and enjoyed the experience. Thanks to Sarina Swain who was an official on the day and to Mr McKernan and Ms Watson for looking after the swimmers. Well done to the 17 students who came either 1st or 2nd. They now compete on Friday at the Division Swimming in Seymour. Good luck team!
