MHCC ACT pledges to a united and consistent voice on mental health in the ACT

The Mental Health Community Coalition ACT (MHCC ACT) has signed the National Communications Charter to formally demonstrate their commitment to how the organisation will talk about mental health, wellbeing and suicide, as well as improve how these issues are responded to across the community.

National Suicide Prevention Trial: Insight and Impact report, Black Dog Institute

Black Dog Institute has recently released an insight an impact report into the National Suicide Prevention Trial, an initiative launched by the Commonwealth Department of Health in 2016. 

The trial focused on using systems approaches (such as LifeSpan and others) to support suicide prevention efforts in 12 regions across Australia, with the objective of reducing suicide attempts and deaths.

The COVID-19 outbreak continues to affect the mental health and wellbeing of many individuals and communities. 

From August 2020, users of the Life in Mind portal have been providing insight into how the pandemic has impacted them.
