Women 4 Women

October is breast cancer awareness month and we're asking the woman of the UK to stand in solidarity with our sisters in Gaza by hosting a local event to raise awareness and support amongst family, friends and neighbours throughout October, November and December.

Standing in solidarity with the women of Gaza

Jenny Baker, Chair of Amos Trustees told us:

"I am organising a Women 4 Women event because in 2015 I had treatment for breast cancer and although it was gruelling, I had excellent care as soon as I needed it.

Women in Gaza have a much harder time. Cancer services are woefully inadequate with out of date technology for screening, no facilities for radiotherapy in the Gaza Strip, little information on self-examination and low survival rates."

We want women all over the UK to get together over the coming months and support the women of Gaza by raising awareness and vital funds for the breast cancer screening programme at Amos partner Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza, whilst doing something you enjoy doing!
