Crowdfund Barnet - getting started Did you miss Spacehive's excellent online presentations about Crowdfund Barnet? Don't worry you can catch up with a recording here, and download the presentation here. The deadline for pitching to the Crowdfund Barnet fund is Wednesday 21 April 2021. Have a look at their step by step guide to setting up a campaign, and you could see money coming in for your community project. The UK government has set up a £2.5million fund to provide devices, data and digital support to people with learning disabilities who can’t afford to get online. The Digital Lifeline scheme will fund 5,000 internet tablets preloaded with data and free tech support for those facing digital exclusion through cost being a barrier to internet access, and increased social isolation caused by covid-19. As well as the devices and data, delivery partners will get a grant of £100 for every person they support. The minimum is 10 people + a grant of £1,000. More than 10 devices/£1,000 may be available to a single delivery partner, depending on demand. Deadline: Monday 15 March, 12pm Lloyds Bank Foundation opens £9.5m fund to small charities tackling complex social issues Small and local charities in England and Wales can apply for a two-year unrestricted grants of £50,000. There is no closing date for applications, they will aim to give you a decision within four months of application submission. They will hold a live Q&A webinar on Tuesday 30 March, 2pm- 3.30pm to discuss the grants programme. Book. Organisations should be working to enable women and girls to improve their mental health and wellbeing and/or improve their financial resilience. The fund responds directly to what women’s and girls’ organisations have told us throughout the pandemic: that declining mental health, increased risk of emotional trauma and increased poverty levels are their biggest concerns for women and girls across the UK. Deadline: Thursday 25 March, 5pm Join me in supporting Barnet's VCS Are you passionate about the important role that local Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) organisations play in their communities? We are looking for someone who would relish the opportunity to represent the thriving and diverse Barnet VCS in a diverse range of settings. This a full-time role, £35k pa. Closing date: Sunday 21 March Vacancy: Volunteer Manager The post holder will be someone with great interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with diverse communities across four London boroughs - Barnet, Brent, Enfield and Harrow, to develop a volunteer team that is representative of the families they work with. Barnet VCS Environmental Network Join us for the inaugural Barnet VCS Environmental Network on 18 March 2021, 10:30 – 12:00. Barnet Safeguarding Children Partnership & Safeguarding Adults Board are hosting a virtual conference about transitional safeguarding on Tuesday 23 March, 9.30am-12.30pm. This is a jointly-hosted event by Barnet Safeguarding Adults Board and Safeguarding Children Partnership where they will be sharing learning about how to support young people as they turn 18.
