Hi there,

Reflecting on the year ahead?

Here at Outdoors Queensland we are focussed on truly making a difference to and for the outdoors in Queensland throughout 2021 and beyond.

It won't be easy! We know that many of our members, and many people in the outdoors across Queensland have been doing it tough. We do believe however that by working together, working hard and focussing on the positive, we will all do well in 2021.

There will be a number of opportunities coming to you from Outdoors Queensland over the coming months so we encourage you to keep in touch, work with us, renew your membership (or sign up!) and be an active member of the outdoors community in Queensland.

To give you a sense of what we are focussing on, here are our strategic priorities for 2021:

  1. Sector Leadership – supporting a unified outdoor sector through partnerships, advocacy and engagement
  2. Places and Spaces – working to secure and protect appropriate places to participate in appropriate outdoor activities
  3. Capacity Building - building workforce and organisational capacity
  4. Promoting the Outdoors - enhancing awareness of outdoor activities
  5. Researching the Outdoors -  deepening understanding of the outdoor sector

We sincerely wish you all the best in the outdoors for 2021, and the courage and fortitude to rebuild a much stronger, more effective and more cohesive outdoors community.

Live life outdoors
