TO: Health Care Professionals ISSUED BY: Clinical Services Division, Niagara Region Public Health and Emergency Services (NRPH) REFERENCE: Changes to Tuberculosis Skin Testing (TST) Criteria as of August 31, 2018 DATE: July 4, 2018 Effective August 31, 2018, NRPH will no longer be offering tuberculosis skin tests (TST) for school admission or employment conditions. Those who require TSTs for employment or school admission will be directed to consult with their health care provider. NRPH will continue to provide TSTs for all individuals identified as a contact of a laboratory confirmed case of tuberculosis and persons who require TSTs for medical purposes.
