Thank you to all who have already given to the Starfish Fund. As an incentive for our families to give, BES is offering a FREE Pizza Party from Jumpin' Jax House of Food to any class who has reached 100% parent participation in the Starfish Fund by Giving Tuesday on December 3. For the first class who reaches that 100% threshold, that class will receive a Movie Party with Pizza. Important: One donation per family is allowed. School administrators will decide the exact date of the parties. Please join our school community by making a gift to this year’s Starfish Fund, and help us meet and exceed our $75,000 goal! The campaign runs through December 31, 2019, and all gifts are tax deductible. Thank you for investing in your children's future. If you have any questions about the campaign or ways to give, please contact Stacy Nash, Director of Development, at (904) 246-2466. Be the one…make the difference. IDEAStudio in the Courtyard as 2nd and 5th Grade Students Learn Science in Fun WaysIDEAStudio is bringing science to life for our students. Social studies and science came together in an incredible history project recently as second grade students learned about the number of passengers on the Mayflower and then created personal vessels out of basic household products to see if they could make them float. Who knew that optimizing buoyancy in water ties in directly to the first Thanksgiving story! In addition, Mrs. Ricker's fifth grade IDEAStudio class took to the courtyard last week as students learned about Newton's Law of Inertia through a hands-on equal and opposite force demonstration.
