New Rammed Earth Website, Modularity and Upcoming Events

Hello  -

Happy New Year! We're excited to show off a brand new website from our sister company Rammed Earth Works. I've also crafted a post about using modular construction strategies to lower the cost of both Watershed Block and rammed earth construction. And I'm on the road quite a lot in the next couple months sharing our story - I'd love to see you in person at these events.

New Website

Modularity

Modular and prefab building strategies are quite popular today - for good reason. We detail four projects that apply modularity principles to Watershed Block and rammed earth construction to lower cost, reduce waste and speed the construction process.

PechaKucha

Join me at PechaKucha in the Bay Area where I'll be presenting 20 slides at 20 seconds each on the theme of "Resolutions" (fitting for the New Year). Teaser:  my resolution is to quit letting Portland cement sneak into my buildings.

Rammed Earth Conference

I'm thrilled to keynote the First International Rammed Earth Conference in Perth, Australia. For those of you not keen on an all-day flight, the talk will focus on creating unified definitions and standards for rammed earth as well as increasing its sustainability profile.
